CER for King Moin ud dowlah Cricket tournament 
Once again for the 3rd straight year the Central East Region (CER) of USACA  will be competing in the King Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup cricket tournament to be held in Hyderabad, India. The tournament is schedule to start during  the first week of September, 2007. This prestigious 76 year old tournament is organized by the Hyderabad Cricket Association. The tournament and its all matches are recognized as first class cricket matches by the ICC.

The team is a combination of some experienced national players along with a few under-19 players from the various regions of USACA who have the potential to represent the national cricket team in the future. The squad is scheduled to leave for India via North West Air lines on September 2nd, 2007. The 15 day tour also includes a few exhibition matches in Mumbai.

The CER tour is fully sponsored by the Honorable Kasani Ganeshwar Mudiraj MLC, President Hyderabad District Cricket Association and President of united forum of 93 backward  Castes   of India . Mr. Mudiraj has previously sponsored  the USA Under- 19 team to Hyderabad for practice matches before it left to Sri Lanka for U-19 World Cup.

Mr.Ganeshwar's recent trip to Chicago during the CER regional tournament had also sponsored the prize money and all the other awards. Mr Kasani with the aid of his TV Channel, Sathya TV, has been committed to helping the youth of all castes and classes to come together, he has also lined up some big project for youth in future.

King Moin ud dowlah tournament has been a breeding ground for future Test cricketers and has always seen a plethora of current and past international stars. Players like Tiger Pataudi, M.L. Jaisimha, Syed Abid Ali, Mohd. Azharuddin, Saurav Ganguly, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid have left an indelible mark with great performances in this tournament  

Rahul Kukreti will lead the side and he will be assisted by Amir Afzal uddin as vice captain. Syed Abid Ali and Khurram Syed will be the coach and Manager respectively. The CER under the Leadership of Masood Chik,committed to develop and promote cricket in the USA (especially youth programs) by organizing such tours to India over the last 4 years.

Mr Shiv lal  Yadav Secretary  Hyderabad Cricket Association and the Chairman BCCI cricket academy  has been a tremendous help to the CER in arranging numerous such tours and helping CER youth like Abhijit Joshi for arranging his training at National cricket academy in India.
